Blut Aus Nord - Odinist
Newer record from french black metal band Blut Aus Nord. If Portal played black metal I think I'd sound like this.
Download
Dead Congregation - Graves of the Archangels
Great Death Metal from Greece. Tim from Diabolic Force recommended these guys to me awhile back and it's been in constant rotation since I bought it.

Acid - Maniac
Female fronted thrash/heavy metal from Belgium. Think Motorhead with the singer from the coven, eerie feeling to the vocals.

Krallice - Krallice
Excellent record! Atmospheric, technical black metal from New York. I've recommended this record to so many people and not a soul has been disappointed by it. I pretty much went to Scion fest to see this band and they blew me away live. One of the few bands that can produce the same sound on stage as they do on record. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Cancer - Death Shall Rise
If you are a fan of Obituary or early Florida death metal this one is for you... produced by Scott Burns!

Drudkh - Autumn Aurora
If Burzum's Det Som Engang Var and Ulver's Bergtatt some how mated I think this would be the offspring. Great folk influenced black metal from the Ukraine featuring Roman Saenko (Hate Forest) and brains behind Drudkh. I've gotten a bit of feedback from some people and rather then posting more Wolves in the Throne Room I figured I'd try to turn a few onto this band.

Trees - Lights Bane
Sick drone/doom from Portland, OR. This record almost has an early Khanate feel to it, 2 songs, 30 minute record... the way I like it.

Iron Monkey - Our Problem
Bad name and even worse cover art. But the music totally makes up for it... prepare for some of the best sludge metal you've ever heard. In the vein of Eyehategod and Grief with some of the greatest vocals I've ever heard! Johnny Morrow singer of Iron Monkey passed away around 2002 from a fatal heart attack, bummer because the guy has been so influential.

Electric Wizard/Reverend Bizarre Split
Took me a long time to track this record down without buying it through Rise Above Records. Needless to say the record was well worth the wait, as much as I love the Wizard I have to say Reverend Bizarre's side is way better. I'm not just saying that because they do a great cover of Beherit's "The Gate Of Nanna."

Deathspell Omega - Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice
Unorthodox french black metal, "Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice" or "If You Seek His Monument, Look Around You." So much to say about this record but requires multiple listening to fully understand why this album is so good.
Download
Moss - Cthonic Rites
Mind blowing sludge/doom from the UK, this record was produced by Jus Osborne (Electric Wizard).

Portal
First post and being that I've named the blogspot after Portal I figured I'd post 2 full length albums by them. Insane death/black metal from down under! You can hear Morbid Angel, Incantation and Immolation as influences in the record, hopefully you'll get as much out of it as I did. Plus a 7'' pressing of the first demo tapes will be available here soon, and you can preorder it here http://www.dissidentrecords.com/
