Further proof that America has some really good BM bands.. confused as to why most of them are out of California though. Either way this is Ashdautas who blew me away when I saw them in Philly with Volahn (also the singer and guitarist) and Bone Awl. It's just what you're expecting in the black metal category except for the ghoulish screams reminiscent of older Burzum.

I can proudly say that I saw these guys around this time... if memory serves me right. Either way I went with my best friend because we never had anything better to do than to go to a shitty venue called Jaxx in Northern Virgina to see death metal bands play. I guess we caught it the right night because we saw Revenge and I was blown away buy what I saw, epic war metal! I don't know what this will do for you but at the time it was life changing for me.

Further indication that U.S.B.M. can actually be good... and yes it is another one man band. Not the usual run of the mill lo-fi Burzum worship (while that does have it's place after all) just a slew of influences. Ambient black metal with some serious doom influences... I find myself coming back to this band when I've lost faith in American Black Metal. Enjoy!

Excellent record! Atmospheric, technical black metal from New York. I've recommended this record to so many people and not a soul has been disappointed by it. I pretty much went to Scion fest to see this band and they blew me away live. One of the few bands that can produce the same sound on stage as they do on record. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
